Department of the Commerce and management has recorded consistent improvement in its academic and research performance of both students and faculties.
During study at the department, the students are encouraged to explore corporate world through internship projects & Programs with external agencies taking the credit of internal syllabus development. Department organises industrial tours to have hands on experience. We also encourage students to organize events such as samsrushti (Inter-collegiate Management fest), participate in management events organized by other colleges and also organises activities to increase entrepreneurship skills, encourages research paper writing, organises seminars and webinars related to subject and current requirement of job industries, department understands unique activity of bridge course for the students admitted from science stream to adoptthemselves to commerce & management stream. We have well designed business lab which provides platform for learning. We have proficient 20 commerce& management faculties to guide our students the rapid growth of department is reflected through ranks & gold medals scored by students in Commerce & management subjects.
About Department
Commerce & management is core department of the college which provides B.Com and BBA its on-going efforts, will continue to provide relevant and up-to-date courses with a practical component in order to give a dynamic Commerce and management education and learning environment with well-resourced staff.
This department possess qualified and competent educators who are committed and contribute to the academic and holistic growth of the students. Department has achieved many laurels, thanks to the efforts of staff and students.
The department's main goal is to establish a supportive learning environment for students at all levels of the teaching, learning, and assessment system by providing students with the necessary skills and abilities to take up new challenges in order to contribute to society while pursuing their career goals, the department organises the following programmes:
- Certificate Programmes.
- Industrial Visits, Field Trips.
- Internship Programmes.
- Internship Programmes.
- Intercollegiate Management Fest.
- Open ended discussions, case studies, role-plays through experiential learning.
- Activities/Competitions under well-equipped Business Lab and Commerce and Management Forum etc.
The department also has come up with bi annual publication of newsletter- “Commerce chronicles”, giving the complete insight of activities & achievement of department of commerce & management.
