Curriculum Enrichment Programs
SICM organises various enrichment programs and activities to compliment the syllabus prescribed the affiliating university. These programs aim at learning beyond the classrooms. The program themes and activities ranges over variety of topics which are helpful for the enhancement of the student’s knowledge. The Value Added Program offered at Campus too adds to this learning. Expert Talks from the Industry professionals, Industrial visits, talk from the Entrepreneurs’, Case Study analysis, Surveys, Placements oriented seminars; projects on hands on experience with Auditing are some of the illustrations. The Management Forum Lakshya too organises various enrichment activities that will make the students get a rich exposure.
All these activities develop skills of the students that make them employable.

Department of Hindi
Model Village visit
2nd year B.com students have Godaan Upanyaas by Premchand which has a setup of village life. To enable the present generation students to have a better understanding of village life, a one day visit to model village was organized by Hindi Department which was attended by 45 students. Students were excited to know about Cobbler, milkman. Village haat, set up of village panchayat, dangal (wrestling ground), bull race, etc.
Visit to Krishi mela
Department of Hindi organized visit to Krishi Mela for the III Semester B.Com students to enhance their knowledge regarding farming techniques and how much Mother Land takes care of their children.
Students could relate the concepts regarding agricultural activities and procedures covered in the classroom through practical exposure.

Mystic Melodies -Lord Basavanna’s Spiritual Odyssey Echoed in Vachana Sahitya
The Department of English in association with Basava Study Center organised a Curriculum Enrichment Programme on Mystic Melodies -Lord Basavanna’s Spiritual Odyssey Echoed in Vachana Sahitya. Dr. C K Jagadish , GFGC, Chikkaballapur, was the resource person for the session. In the session, he addressed the students about Lord Basavanna, the progenitor of the Lingayat Veershaivism which is an independent egalitarian movement that sourced its inspiration from the larger and much older frameworks of Bhakti traditions in South India. This Veerashaivam revolution was as much social as it was spiritual, made people understand that the prevailing attitudes of social discrimination on gender and caste lines.
Career in Commercial Writing
The Department of English organised a Curriculum Enrichment Programme on “Career opportunities in Commercial Writing”, on 17 th February 2023. Assoc.Prof. Manjula Veerappa of Vijaya College, Bengaluru, was the resource person for the session. In the Session she analysed the unit Commercial writing in detail to give more inputs about the Chapter. Further, she also elaborated on the career opportunities in the field of Commercial writing with numerous case studies. Since, the programme was made Compulsory for all the IIIrd semester, B.Com and BBA students, 286 students attended the Session.

Special Lecture on account of ‘World Sanskrit Day Celebration’ ‘Samskritam Cosmos- Language Beyond Borders’

Shri. Narayana Ananta Bhatta ,President of Samskrita Sangha ,Sanskrit Scholar, Head, Govt. High School, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru was the resource person for this event. Resource person had addressed the gathering by giving many examples on importance of Sanskrit Language and Literature for our bright and meaningful future. And also mentioned the worth impact of developing language skills by regular practice and implementation.
