Trekking to Kodachadri

Sports department organises Trekking to Kodachadri to the students of SICM. The objective of organising Trekking is to improve the overall fitness, cardiovascular strength through breathing fresh and pure oxygen, inner cleanse and social benefits of bonding with the team members by building one on one conversations. The students therefore undergo both physical, mental and social benefits out of Trekking.

Bengaluru City University Inter-Collegiate Shooting and Road Cycling Competition

SICM Sports Department organised "Bengaluru City University Inter-Collegiate Shooting and Road Cycling Competition for the AY 2022-23"on 23-12-2022. The Chief Guest was Mr. Sharanedar K Y, National Shooter, Hawk Eye Rifle Shooting Academy, Bangalore.

K.M. Nanjappa Memorial Inter Collegiate T-20 Cricket Tournament

SICM sports department had organised 13th Annual K.M. Nanjappa Memorial Inter Collegiate T-20 Cricket Tournament 2022-23 on 17-05-2023. The chief guest was Mr. B K Ravi. The programme was also attended by our Honourable General Secretary Dr. Wooday P Krishna and our Principal Prof. Vidya Shivannavar. Students from various colleges had participated and showed their sportsmanship by playing and enjoying the game enthusiastically.

18th Annual Athletic Meet 2023

SICM sports department had organised "18th Annual Athletic Meet 2023" on 17th June, 2023 for students and staff members in University College of Physical Education Ground, Bangalore University, Mysore Road, Bangalore. The Chief Guest was Dr. K.K. Amarnath, Chairman and Principal, University College of Physical Education, Bangalore University, Bangalore and Dr. Tilak Kumar, Strength and Conditioning Expert, Sports Authority of India. Multiple sports events were organised for all the students and faculties. All the students and faculties participated in all the sports events enthusiastically. 2nd BBA Students got the overall championship trophy. Everyone enjoyed the day and had a lot of fun playing their favourite sports.

SET Founders Cup

Sports Department of our college had organised SET Founders Cup Inter-Institutional Archery Badminton Shooting and Power lifting competition on 8th December 2023. The Chief Guest was Sri. CPR Sudhir Kumar, International weight lifter, ex-serviceman, Indian Navy. The Guest of Honour was Sri Chetan Kumar G R, International body builder and Mr Anil T M, Founder of Vivekananda sports and cultural association Tumkur. Other dignitaries who had attended the program were Sri. S Sheshanarayana, Honorary Joint Secretary, Seshadripuram Educational Trust, Sri G K Manjunath, Principal of SCPUC, and Prof Vidya Shivannavar, Principal of SICM. The program was organised by Capt Chikkarangaswami, Sports Dept, SICM. There were more than 200 students from the entire sister institutions of Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The competitions organised were Powerlifting, Shuttle Badminton, Archery, and shooting. The overall championship trophy was bagged by Seshadripuram Institute of Commerce and Management.

Report on All India Invitational Archery Competition - 2023

SICM Sports Department organized 3rd Annual All India Invitational Archery Competition for School and College students in association with Yuvaka Sangha and Bengaluru City University , the event was held at Shalani Ground, 5th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore on Saturday, 21st January 2023. Totally 70 Archery players participated in the event. The event was organized according to the Age Categories (Under-11, Under-14, Under-17, Under-20 and Above-20 Age Categories).

With the presidential speech from Prof. K P Narsimha Murthy, Chairman, Governing Council SICM, Bangalore graced the occasion. Students of different schools and colleges from all over India got an opportunity to participate in the above prestigious All India Archery Tournament.
